Prof. Froomkin steers me to a story about a guy who invented a “Fox Blocker”: Sam Kimery …makes a little device the size of a thumb that you screw into your cable supply and which then blocks the Fox channel. I would pay for that. Sadly, he’s getting death threats....
eBay ad of the day
Posted March 11, 2005 03:45 PM
I’ve been trolling eBay lately in search of a Windows SmartPhone. (Yes, I bought an Audiovox SMT5600 last year, but Judy fell in love with it, and being the loving husband that I am… Well, you can guess who’s using it now.) Anyway, I nearly fell out of my chair...

My co-author Carl Siechert tested this for a chapter in our...

The Cox remote for the HD-DVR doesn't recognize my Pioneer receiver, so I can't use the DVR's remote to control the system volume, and my MX-500 Universal Remote Control doesn't have a preprogrammed code for the Cox remote....
Do you love espresso?
Posted November 3, 2004 11:13 AM
I used to spend a small fortune at Starbucks and Seattle's Best Coffee and Peets. Not any more. About six months ago, I bought my own home espresso maker, and I'm pleased to say it works great. The model I purchased is now on sale at Amazon.com. If you're a...
