The only problem thus far is that the 24″ has yet to be on sale or discounted well. The jump from 20″ to 24″ still almost doubles the cost. Also the 20″ has a slightly newer LCD and control electronics than the currently available 24″.

Yes, I wish the 24″ went on sale. FYI…Dell appears to have coupons and discounts on the 2005 today bringing it under $400 I think. You might want to check the deal sites if you’re interested.

I do love this monitor. I have it hooked up to my Media Center PC as well and the Media Center interface looks really nice. The new Dell 23″ monitor looks pretty slick but as everyone else is saying it’s not on deep discount yet. I’m actually thinking about getting another 20″ monitor and using it as a TV display for a Media Center extender. The cheapest I’ve seen a 19″ widescreen LCD TV is from Dell for $599!

There are no negatives to having a larger or wider monitor, especially now that many web pages (except for blogs) are coded quite broadly now.
