		<description>I do this and it is very effective.  Since I generally make one folder per download I give it a descriptive name, like the company and the product, because all too often the download itself will have a name like ms122c.exe.</description>

I keep all my downloads in a folder called &#039;My Software&#039; (I know, I&#039;m the only person in the world who seems to like the &#039;My&#039; scheme), but I hadn&#039;t thought about creating folders for each program that also contain shortcuts to the web install and the serial numbers. I&#039;ll have to start doing that.</description>

		<description>I do something very close to this as well, but on a separate USB external hard drive.  But I didn&#039;t think about also adding shortcuts to the websites.  Also, having an extra copy of these folders in My Documents is a very good idea.
