And the next shot he hit - the drive off the 17th - was a stinker. It ended up on the fairway of the adjacent hole. Marco's went down the middle. And had his opponent had the merest better piece of luck on his 3rd shot on the 18th, he'd have beaten Woods - the ball would have gone in, and Woods would have bogeyed to be -12, vs Marco's -11. As it was, they TIED. Woods's great shot on the 16th wasn't the end of the story. Why else was a playoff needed? I dislike the myth that's already appearing around this shot. Yes, he hit a great shot there.
