some of the courses have great material posted. some have handwritten class notes from a student -- great notes, for sure, but just notes. and some are incomplete -- for instance http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Biological-Engineering/20-462JSpring-2006/LectureNotes/index.htm has just half the lectures. this is a great great resource but it is still pretty spotty.

Okay, that's incredible. Is the degree as important as the knowledge? I have a PhD, but so do several hundred thousand other Americans. I'll definitely download it. Something to read when I'm in a nursing home hooked to a cyborg nurse someday.
OFF TOPIC:
U(you) C(see) Lotsa Asians there, too, but my worst two memories of UCLA was when Troy Aikman strode onto the Cotton Bowl field in 1989? and whipped Arkansas all day. And the second was the '95 NCAA final? when UCLA also whomped the Razorbacks. Ah well, at least it wasn't USC, and the Bruins have great school colors.

I take it this doesn't mean you can actually obtain a degree by just reading the courseware, though!
