What does it mean to a website’s traffic when a story makes it to the front page of Digg? Here’s what happened to this site last week:

I write stuff. Mostly about Windows. Sometimes I get paid for it.
In physics we call this a (Dirac) delta function
On the web, we call that the Diggot curve
(slash-dot is as bad as digg).
In my life experience I call this “short attention span” and/or “easily amused.”
Here in Germany we call this “run” because they just ran to your page/site/blog and then they are gone.
So you can apply math functions on visitor’s hourly generated traffic?
