A Bill of Rights is a terrible thing to waste

A little political humor, courtesy of skippy the bush kangaroo at The American Street:

knock-knock.

who’s there?

under the patriot act, we don’t have to tell you that.

Sorry, I guess that’s not funny after all. I really think the Founding Fathers had some excellent ideas when they wrote the Bill of Rights, and it makes me sad to see the Fourth Amendment being turned into garden mulch.

Skippy has some more amusing jokes (plus a few mean-spirited ones), but please click the link only if (1) you are not easily offended by bad words; (2) you think the current occupant of the White House has made at least one or two mistakes in the past few years; and (3) you understand that passing the so-called Patriot Act is the biggest mistake this country has ever made.
