“iLoo” Project a Hoax
Well, it’s probably time for someone in Microsoft’s British office to get sacked. The New York Times reported today: ‘iLoo’ Internet Project a Hoax.
Amusingly, several sources at Microsoft and its PR agency confirmed the story last week. Oops!
Too bad. I was looking to put one of them in my home office, right next to a mini beer-keg. Then I’d never have to leave the room! Of course, a webcam in such an environment might be in rather poor taste.
Also, I was frankly concerned about what would happen in the event of an OS crash…
First it’s for real, then it’s a hoax. Now it was real, but has crapped… er scrapped.

Just think of the slogan,
“Microsoft Brings you Computer In A Can!”
Too bad, I would have been first in line for one. My secret spies have turned up a photo of the prototype of the iLoo, before the project got “canned.” You can see it at http://webmoron.net/images/workstation.jpg
