Good to see you are still on the horse – when I think of attending a trade show I have reaction similar to bad oysters. Too many trips with Paul….
A few comments..
The ipod – everyone wants one but few people over 18 actually use it.
HD TV – this was the year. It is now in the sweet spot so I jumped in. Got the DirecTV HD DVR – first one was defective but second works like a charm. But be aware that the HDMI interface does not work and the support guys at DirecTV will wisper that to you.
Harmony Remote – Don’t drop it and get the 2 year coverage.
LG – loving the LG 50 inch plasma.

Adam, are you talking about the TiVo HD DVR for DirecTV? Because the HDMI interface on that box works for me.

Yes it’s the DirecTV TiVo HD DVR – model # HR10-250. Apparently upwards of 15% of the units have a defective HDMI port. I must have got into a bad batch.
I have had 2 units. The HDMI port on the first unit failed after 2 days – “No Signal”, the HDMI port never worked on the second unit.
The DirecTV support guys told me flat out that many of the HDMI ports just don’t work.
I’ll wait for the next generation.
